It is in the swamplands where soul is fashioned and forged, where we encounter not only the gravitas of life, but its purpose, its dignity and its deepest meaning.

                                                                                                                                                                               -James Hollis

My training includes resolving issues related with, but not limited to:

  • grief
  • family systems
  • career counseling
  • trauma, addiction
  • self-limiting beliefs

My Master's Degree is earned in Clinical Counseling from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. Experience includes: group leader with at-risk youth in the San Fernando Valley; inpatient counselor at Brain Neuroscience Institute in Agoura ; and family/couple/individual work at Counseling West in Sherman Oaks.

With expertise gandered from an array of clinical experiences, I attune the work to meet the needs of each person. Whether it's crisis stabilization or existential searching, every individual deserves to restore balance to the much-deserving soul.

Throughout my career, I have worked with clients in an inpatient treatment setting, an at-risk youth setting, and a non-profit counseling center.

Session fee is $120 for 50-minutes, $170 for couples. Sliding scale available to meet financial needs, inquire within.

I am registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (#120109), and I am supervised by Gary D. Pearle, Ph.D., L.M.F.T. #30246 and R.Brian Carlson, L.M.F.T. #50436

What excites me about this work are the possibilities for real change. When internal conflicts are identified, a gradual integration process turns stagnated energy into renewed, vibrant energy. Every individual deserves to live in the rich channel of a meaningful life.

Together let’s listen for those areas calling for attention and restore balance to the much-deserving soul.

The priority of my practice is to care for a client’s needs as they unfold. With a collaborative, non-judgmental approach, I assist through stages of growth toward fulfillment and well-being. Experience has taught me to treat symptoms with curiosity, and by seeing their purpose we may integrate their power. Psychologist James Hollis wrote, "It is in the swamplands where soul is fashioned and forged, where we encounter not only the gravitas of life, but its purpose, its dignity and its deepest meaning."
